Enables new capabilities and efficiency for ships by providing autonomous underwater data collection.
The SeaCat family offers torpedo-shaped AUVs from 3.0 to 4.5 metres, designed for mission-specific flexibility. Its segmented hull allows rapid reconfiguration with advanced navigation, communication, and power modules. Variants provide hovering capabilities, extended endurance, and specific sensors setting new benchmarks in underwater performance and versatility. This platform exemplifies innovation driving mission success in underwater technology.
Capabilities
SeaCat integrates seamlessly with surface vessels, maximising operational efficiency in time, personnel, and logistics while delivering critical data with exceptional resolution and precision. It supports unsupervised missions using standard high-resolution sidescan or synthetic aperture sonar payloads for seafloor mapping and pipeline inspection.
The innovative SwapHead system allows on-site plug & play sensor changes, including multi-beam echosounders, sub-bottom profilers, and optical imaging systems tailored to mission needs. Equipped with inertial navigation for pre-programmed survey patterns and real-time onboard data processing, SeaCat operates reliably up to 600 metres depth and 24-hour endurance.
For extended operations, a fibreoptic cable of up to 1,000 metres enables remote control and real-time data feedback for detailed inspection tasks. SeaCat exemplifies uncompromising precision and innovation in underwater technology.
USPs
The system offers extensive adaptability through its modular design, enabling a wide range of sensor configurations. The SwapHead feature allows quick replacement of payload sensors to meet changing operational requirements. Vertical and lateral thrusters provide precise low-speed manoeuvrability, supporting Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) functionality.
The ROV function, with an optional fiber optic cable, enhances remote monitoring and control capabilities, ensuring reliable and high-performance operation.
