(Non-)collective agreement-based pay according to IG Metall, matching your qualifications and experience, plus numerous allowances.

Training & Development:

Working Hours

A 35-hour workweek*, flexible shifts, remote work options — and compensation for any overtime.

*Except at the Wismar site. Gradual reduction from 38 to 35 hours by 2029.

Thilo“I’m drawn to the challenge”

Thilo shows how you can grow beyond yourself at TKMS. At 18, he started his apprenticeship at the shipyard and then completed two industrial master craftsman qualifications in metal and mechatronics. Soon after, he pursued a part-time degree in mechanical engineering and took the next career step as a plant engineer. His recipe for success? Cleverly combining practical work and studies—such as through a thesis project at TKMS.
